Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or purchasing from us.

By using our website or purchasing a product or service from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our website or purchase our products or services.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Using our website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only.

You must not:

  • use the website in a way that breaches any applicable law or regulation;

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems;

  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • reproduce, copy, distribute or commercially exploit our website content without permission;

  • use our website to distribute malicious software or other harmful material; or

  • use our resources for purposes that are not permitted under these Terms and Conditions.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security or other operational reasons.

3. Information on our website

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date. However, educational content, course descriptions, prices, availability, dates and other information may occasionally change.

We reserve the right to correct errors, update information and make reasonable changes to our products and services.

Photographs, illustrations and other images are for illustrative purposes unless stated otherwise.

4. Products and services

The products and services available through Team IELTS may include digital products, live courses, self-study courses, teacher training and other educational services.

The description of each product or service on the website forms part of the information provided to you before purchase.

Before purchasing, please check the product or course description carefully, including:

  • what is included;

  • the duration of access;

  • course dates and times;

  • whether teaching is live or self-study;

  • any technical requirements;

  • whether recordings are provided;

  • any limitations on access; and

  • the applicable price.

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to course content, teachers, resources or delivery arrangements where necessary.

Where a change materially affects a service that you have already purchased, we will provide appropriate notice and, where applicable, an appropriate remedy.

5. Purchasing from us

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the relevant product or service.

Your order is accepted when we confirm your purchase or otherwise provide access to the product or service.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where there is a genuine reason to do so, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;

  • there has been an obvious pricing or description error;

  • we are unable to provide the service;

  • payment has not been successfully received; or

  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will provide an appropriate refund.

6. Prices and payment

All prices displayed on the website will be stated in the applicable currency.

Unless otherwise stated, the price shown at checkout is the amount payable for the product or service.

We may change our prices from time to time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

Payment must be made using the payment method available at checkout.

If a payment is unsuccessful, we may suspend or withhold access to the relevant product or service until payment has been successfully received.

7. Digital products and downloadable resources

Where you purchase a digital product, such as an book, worksheet, lesson plan or other downloadable resource, access will be provided using the method described on the relevant product page or at checkout.

Digital products are supplied for your personal use unless a different licence is expressly stated.

You must not:

  • share your account or access details;

  • redistribute or resell our digital products;

  • upload our materials to publicly accessible websites or platforms;

  • share materials with students, colleagues or other third parties where your licence does not permit this;

  • remove copyright or ownership notices; or

  • reproduce substantial parts of our materials without our written permission.

Where a product is specifically sold for classroom or organisational use, the permitted use will be stated in the product description or accompanying licence.

If you experience a genuine technical problem accessing a digital product, please contact us so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate solution.

8. Online courses

Our online courses may contain a combination of:

  • live online teaching;

  • self-study activities;

  • recorded lessons;

  • downloadable resources;

  • worksheets;

  • assignments;

  • feedback;

  • discussion or question-and-answer activities; and

  • other digital learning materials.

The precise content and format will be described on the relevant course page.

Course access is normally provided only to the person who purchased the course and may not be transferred, shared or resold without our written permission.

9. Five-week online IELTS course

Where you purchase a five-week online IELTS course, the course will normally be delivered over five consecutive weeks or during the dates specified on the course page.

The course may include both live teaching and guided self-study.

You are responsible for making reasonable efforts to attend live sessions, complete self-study activities and participate in the course.

Failure to attend live sessions or complete self-study activities does not normally entitle you to a refund.

Where reasonably practicable, we may provide recordings or alternative resources for missed sessions. This may depend on the course and will be stated in the course information.

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the timetable, teacher or delivery arrangements where necessary.

10. Live online teaching

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver live lessons at the advertised times.

Occasionally, a lesson may need to be rescheduled because of illness, technical problems, unforeseen circumstances or other events outside our reasonable control.

Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to:

  • reschedule the lesson;

  • provide a recording or alternative resource; or

  • provide another appropriate solution.

If you are unable to attend because of your own internet connection, equipment, software, time-zone misunderstanding or other circumstances outside our control, we are not responsible for your inability to participate.

You are responsible for ensuring that your device, internet connection and software are suitable for participation.

11. Course recordings

Where live lessons are recorded, recordings may be made available to course participants for educational purposes.

Recordings are provided subject to the access period and conditions stated for the relevant course.

You must not download, reproduce, distribute, publish or share course recordings unless expressly permitted by us.

Participants should avoid sharing unnecessary personal or confidential information during recorded sessions.

We reserve the right not to record a particular session where recording is impractical or inappropriate.

12. Refunds and cancellations

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

If you purchase a course or other service online as a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days, subject to the legal rules and exceptions that apply to the particular service or digital content.

Where you ask us to begin providing a service during the cancellation period, you may be required to expressly request or acknowledge that the service will begin before the cancellation period has ended.

Where digital content is supplied immediately, you may also be required to acknowledge the legal consequences of requesting immediate supply.

Cancellation before a course starts

Unless a different cancellation policy is stated on the relevant course page:

  • cancellations made at least 7 days before the course starts will normally receive a full refund;

  • cancellations made less than 7 days before the course starts may, at our discretion, be transferred to a future course rather than partially refunded.

  • cancellations made less than 3 days before the course start will not be refunded.

We will always consider cancellation requests fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Cancellation after a course has started

Once a course has started, refunds are generally not available simply because a participant changes their mind, does not attend live lessons or does not complete the self-study materials.

This does not affect your statutory rights where a course has not been provided as agreed or where another legal remedy applies.

Where appropriate, we may offer a transfer, partial refund or other remedy at our discretion.

13. Cancellation by Team IELTS

We reserve the right to cancel a course or service where this is reasonably necessary.

If we cancel a course before it has been substantially delivered, we will offer an appropriate alternative, which may include:

  • transfer to another course;

  • rescheduling; or

  • a refund, where appropriate.

Where we make a significant change to a service that you have already purchased, we will notify you and provide an appropriate remedy where required by law.

14. IELTS results and guarantees

Our courses, lessons and resources are designed to support IELTS preparation.

We do not guarantee a particular IELTS band score, test result or improvement in score.

IELTS results depend on numerous factors, including a learner's existing English level, preparation, practice, individual circumstances and performance on the day of the examination.

Where our website refers to Band 7, Band 7+ or another target level, this describes the intended level, focus or suitability of the material. It does not constitute a guarantee that a participant will achieve that score.

We do not guarantee:

  • a particular IELTS band score;

  • a particular increase in band score;

  • a particular result in an IELTS examination;

  • university or college admission;

  • visa approval;

  • employment or professional outcomes; or

  • any other external outcome.

Our courses provide teaching, guidance, strategies, practice and feedback intended to support learners in their preparation.

15. Teacher expertise and experience

Where we state that our tutors, trainers or contributors are IELTS experts, experienced IELTS teachers or former IELTS examiners, these descriptions relate to their professional experience and qualifications.

Such experience does not mean that an individual can predict or guarantee a learner's IELTS result.

Our teaching and feedback are provided for educational purposes and should not be interpreted as an official IELTS result or assessment.

Team IELTS is independent of the organisations that administer IELTS unless explicitly stated otherwise.

16. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Team IELTS website and in our products and courses is owned by or licensed to Team IELTS.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • text;

  • lesson plans;

  • worksheets;

  • books;

  • course materials;

  • videos;

  • recordings;

  • presentations;

  • graphics;

  • photographs;

  • logos;

  • branding;

  • downloadable resources;

  • teaching activities; and

  • other original educational content.

All intellectual property rights are reserved.

Purchasing a product or course does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property to you.

You receive only the right to use the materials in accordance with the applicable licence and these Terms and Conditions.

17. Copyright and permitted use

You may use purchased materials only for the purposes stated when you purchase them.

For example, where a resource is sold for individual student use, it may not be reproduced and distributed to a class or organisation unless the product licence permits this.

Where a resource is specifically sold as a teacher resource for classroom use, you may use it with your students in accordance with the applicable licence.

If you are unsure whether a particular use is permitted, please contact us before reproducing or distributing the material.

18. User accounts and access

Where a product or course requires an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

You must not allow another person to use your account unless expressly permitted.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that an account or course materials are being shared, redistributed, misused or accessed without authorisation.

Where access is suspended incorrectly, we will investigate and take appropriate action.

19. User contributions and participation

Some Team IELTS services may allow participants to submit questions, written work, comments, feedback or other contributions.

You remain responsible for anything you submit.

You must not submit content that:

  • is unlawful;

  • is abusive, threatening or discriminatory;

  • infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights;

  • contains malicious software; or

  • is otherwise inappropriate for an educational environment.

We may remove or restrict access to content that breaches these requirements.

20. Feedback and testimonials

We may ask customers for feedback about our products and services.

If you provide a testimonial or other feedback that you agree we may use for promotional purposes, we may publish it on our website, social media or other marketing channels.

We will not knowingly misrepresent the meaning of your feedback.

Where appropriate, we may anonymise testimonials or use only your first name and other information that you have agreed may be published.

21. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using our website or purchasing from us, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed in accordance with that policy.

22. Third-party websites and services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms or services.

These links are provided for convenience and do not mean that we endorse or control those websites.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites.

Where our courses use third-party platforms or services to deliver teaching, payments, video conferencing or digital content, their own terms and policies may also apply.

23. Technical requirements

You are responsible for having suitable:

  • internet access;

  • computer, tablet or mobile device;

  • browser;

  • software;

  • audio equipment; and

  • other technology required to access our online services.

We cannot guarantee that every course or resource will work with every device, browser, operating system or internet connection.

We will, however, make reasonable efforts to ensure that our digital services function as described.

24. Liability

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill and substantially as described.

We are not responsible for losses that:

  • could not reasonably have been anticipated when the contract was made;

  • arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control;

  • result from your failure to follow reasonable instructions;

  • arise from your own equipment, internet connection or software; or

  • relate to an outcome that we have expressly stated is not guaranteed.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

We do not seek to exclude or restrict your statutory consumer rights.

25. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These may include, for example:

  • significant internet or telecommunications failures;

  • platform outages;

  • serious illness;

  • natural disasters;

  • government restrictions;

  • industrial disputes;

  • cyber incidents affecting relevant service providers; or

  • other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.

Where such an event occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and resume or rearrange the affected service as soon as reasonably practicable.

26. Complaints

We want our customers to have a positive experience.

If you have a complaint or concern about a product, course or service, please contact us at:

Email: contact@teamielts.com

Please provide as much information as possible about the issue.

We will investigate complaints fairly and aim to respond within 7 working days.

We encourage you to contact us directly so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

27. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to a course, account or service where you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms and Conditions.

Examples may include:

  • sharing paid course access;

  • distributing copyrighted materials;

  • disruptive or abusive behaviour during live sessions;

  • attempting to obtain unauthorised access to our systems; or

  • fraudulent activity.

Where appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

28. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be published on our website with the date of the most recent update.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of a contract that has already been completed or, where applicable, materially alter an existing contract without appropriate notice and legal basis.

29. Severability

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed to the extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

30. Entire agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the relevant product or course description, applicable payment information, Privacy Policy and any other terms expressly incorporated into the purchase, form the agreement between you and Team IELTS in relation to the relevant product or service.

Where there is a conflict between these general Terms and Conditions and specific terms displayed for a particular product or course, the specific terms will apply to that product or course to the extent of the conflict.

31. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you will also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under the law of the country in which you live.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions prevents you from relying on mandatory consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.
